Sixers 15-man roster revealed

The Sixers final roster cuts were revealed on Monday afternoon. The team had to cut down its total roster from 20 to 15 by the 5:00 PM deadline Monday.

Point guards Pierre Jackson and Scottie Wilbekin were let go, while T.J. McConnell made the squad after a solid preseason showing.

Furkan Aldemir was also released in possibly the most surprising of the cuts, but after 41 games with the team last season they had apparently seen enough out of him.

Rounding out the cuts were perimeter players J.P. Tokoto and Jordan McRae.

If the roster stands as is, the Sixers will start the season with six injured players in Wroten, Marshall, Covington, Embiid, Stauskas, and Landry. The team can still make moves, as they might be interested in the addition of some recently-released players from elsewhere.

As it stands, the Sixers 15-man roster looks like this:

Canaan
Wroten
Marshall
Landry
Okafor
Sampson
Stauskas
Noel
McConnell
Embiid
Grant
Covington
Wood
Thompson
Holmes
