Sixers not done making moves

On a conference call with media members on Wednesday, Sixers GM Sam Hinkie revealed that the team was far from done making moves as the season 2015-16 season approaches.

"We're still heavily engaged in trade negotiations, as well as in free agency," Hinkie explained, while also admitting that all of the big names are already off of the market. Any player that the team added in free agency at this point would likely not be much of a needle-mover.

"I know the big names all disappear in the first two or three days," Hinkie continued, "but NBA trades and free agency, those are the kind of things that happen every day in the offseason, and we're still active there."

Hinkie would not reveal what type of moves the team may potentially make.

"I'm not the one to tell what we are trying to accomplish in a trade," he replied to a question about the team acquiring a point guard. "Some of our partners not knowing exactly what [our goals] are helps."

While free agency options are limited at this point, trades present a different scenario. With copious cap space and a roster full of young players on team-friendly contracts, the Sixers have the tools to make some major moves, and they are obviously keeping their eyes open.
