Dwyane Wade to join LeBron James in Cleveland?

Dwyane Wade caused quite a stir by referring to his time with the Miami Heat in the past tense on national television after the NBA Finals. Wade officially opted out of his contract with the Heat on Monday, making his future in South Beach uncertain to say the least.

"When I was in Miami," Wade said, casually during that Finals broadcast, making it seem as though it was already out of Miami.

Now, it could be nothing, but the way it flowed out really just seemed too casual, and comfortable. It seemed as though it was reflective of his mindset; maybe he knows something that the public does not yet know.

There are reports of a contract despite between Wade and Miami, and there was also that strange exchange between Wade and LeBron on Christmas Day when LeBron was overhead telling his former teammate:

"Like I said, if we aren't better this year, we're gunna re-unite again and do some bigger and better things."

Could D-Wade be on his way out of Miami to again team up with James?

With a healthy Wade, the Heat could be good, but the Cavs, as currently constructed, could be dominant. Wade would serve as the team's third option, and would add incredible depth to the perimeter to complement an already-stacked frontcourt. The Cavaliers are already title-favorites for next season, and Wade's addition could potentially be enough to push Cleveland over the top in their chase for that elusive ring.

As far as Miami is concerned, tt is yet to be seen how much money Pat Riley would be interested in sinking into the aging superstar, knowing that his days as a top option are likely behind him.

Basketball-wise, the reunion would make sense. If Wade would be willing to trade Miami weather for Cleveland winters, than a reunion of Wade and James seems feasible. It will be one of the many interesting story lines to pay attention to this summer.
