Sixers fans remain optimistic about franchise's future

There has been some backlash to the Sixers' struggles this season, mainly from people who don't understand what it takes to build a franchise into a contender from the foundation. What did they want, the team to remain mediocre forever?

People have asked me all season long how I could still support the Sixers?

They're terrible. They're losing on purpose. They don't deserve to be a team. How could they still have any fans?

As it turns out, a lot of Sixer fans expected this struggle of a season, and remain extremely excited about the future the franchise is building for itself.

I hit the main concourse of the Wells Fargo Center at halftime of the Sixers' final home game of the season against the Boston Celtics on Monday to talk to some fans about this season, and their feelings about the future.

Almost everyone I talked to understood the Sixers' strategy, and even supported it, and remained extremely excited and optimistic about the future.

It seems that the Sixers will still have the city's support next season, and probably a better team too.
