ESPN ranks Sixers' Royce White as NBA's worst

The Sixers don’t have any of the NBA’s best players, but they do have the worst, according to ESPN.

Troubled forward Royce White has yet to play in an NBA game, but that didn’t stop the Worldwide Leader from ranking White as the 500th (out of 500) best player in the league today on their annual #NBArank.

#NBArank looks to rate the league’s players from worst to best in terms of "the overall level of play for each player for the upcoming NBA season."

Apparently, expectations aren’t too high for White, whose brief career has been derailed by anxiety issues.

White was selected by the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2012 draft and, despite possessing a lot of potential, his difficulties have prevented him from seeing any on-court action.

While he was granted a fresh start with the Sixers, there is still a severe sense of uncertainty surrounding his future in Philadelphia and the league at large.

Thus, ESPN found it fitting to rank White dead last on their list, just below Miroslav Raduljica, Arinze Onuake, Robert Covington, and a full fifty spots behind fellow Sixer underachiever, Kwame Brown.

This is the second time in three seasons that the Sixers have had ESPN’s lowest-ranked player on their roster, as Lavoy Allen was also given that distinction heading into his rookie campaign in 2011.

Allen performed so well throughout his rookie year however that ESPN extended an apology to him, promising to rank him much higher the following season, which they did.

Allen apparently used his low rank as motivation, something White can hopefully do if he ever gets out on the court.

White seems to be taking the undesirable ranking in stride, tweeting out:
